PEOPLE with troubling and unusual symptoms shouldn't delay in seeing their GP despite the Covid-19 pandemic, a cancer patient has warned. Breast cancer patient Alison Tait said early diagnoses could "save your life". Coronavirus restrictions have meant that Brits have been advised to "stay at home to protect the NHS" but this has meant that many people have been left feeling anxious about visiting their GP. Mum Alison Tait was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and was told it had spread to her liver. The lockdowns have been distressing for many people, but for Alison they have meant she had to attend her appointments alone. Despite this she is still urging others to come forward if they have any signs or symptoms of cancer. MURDER cops are now leading the investigation into the disappearance of a 33-year-old woman who vanished as she walked home. Sarah Everard has not been seen since she left a friend's house in Clapham, South West London, on Wednesday at around 9pm. Police have been searching ponds in Clapham Common in a bid to find the missing marketing manager, who should have arrived back home in Bristol shortly before 10pm. Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, which deal with homicides and major crime for the force, have now taken over the investigation. The Met said Sarah's disappearance is still being treated as a missing person's case. The family of a woman who has been missing for four days have joined the search to find her. Photos show dozens of London Search and Rescue members assisting police in combing Clapham Common, with Sarah Everard having not been heard from since Wednesday night. The 33-year-old marketing account manager had been visiting a friend in the area before heading back home to Brixton on foot, with her disappearance described as "out of character". Her family have now travelled over 200 miles from York to help out, confirmed Sarah's uncle Doug Everard, while her auntie Jane Everard admitted they are "devastated".
