It’s the news Marvel fans across the globe have been waiting for – a new Daredevil series is in the works at Disney Plus, it’s been reported. From 2015 to 2018, Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in the Netflix show about the blind superhero, who works as a lawyer by day and a crime-fighting vigilante by night. After the programme and other Marvel properties on Netflix were cancelled on the platform, fans were desperately hoping there could be hope for the character to return, with the same actor playing the role. Following his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, when Matt showed up as a lawyer for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, it’s now been claimed that a new Daredevil series is in fact on its way. The new story will feature four familiar heroes contending with the death of their mentor Batman as well as a mysterious team of adversaries known in the fandom as the “Court of Owls”. In two-player co-op, you will be able to control Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood or Bat Girl in an effort to face-off against this new threat and clean up the streets of Gotham City. Each character will have a different playstyle, new abilities to learn while taking on missions around the sandbox city by either taking to the skies or patrolling the streets. Britain's biggest business group has cancelled its annual lunch at the World Economic Forum in Davos to focus on tackling the inflationary crisis on its doorstep. The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) will not hold the lunch, which is normally attended by the Chancellor or Prime Minister, at next week's gathering of the global elite because members are absorbed by the cost of living crisis, sources said. It comes amid fears that Davos will be a damp squib this year. Neither Rishi Sunak nor Boris Johnson is attending. A number of billionaire business leaders, including JP Morgan chief executive Jamie Dimon and Goldman Sachs boss David Solomon, are also skipping the event in Switzerland.
