UK book shop has two extremely rare Harry Potter books worth a combined £107,500

An independent bookstore claims to be the only shop in the the UK offering two extremely rare Harry Potter first editions - but they will set fans back a staggering £107,500. St Mary’s Books in Stamford, Lincolnshire, is selling an original paperback edition and hardback version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The books, which are an "incredibly rare find", are believed to be the only two on sale in the whole of the country - with the only other paperback available in the USA. The first edition paperback, released in 1997, could once be bought for as little as £4.99 but is on sale at the antiquarian bookshop with the hefty price tag of £12,500. And the hardback edition released at the same time but with only 500 copies printed is for sale for a spellbinding £95,000 - working out to £426 per page. BRITS aged between 56 and 59 have been invited to receive their coronavirus vaccine as the rollout goes from strength to strength. It comes as Gavin Williamson admitted this morning that ministers are "looking at" a longer school day and shorter holidays to make up for lost education due to the pandemic . Hundreds of thousands of letters for the over 56 age group began landing on doorsteps today, Public Health England have said. Meanwhile, Professor Sharon Peacock, head of the Covid-19 Genomics UK scientific body, told The Times she was "very optimistic" that the immunisation programme would continue to be effective. It comes as a minister predicted that all adults could receive the jab by June should the vaccine rollout continue at its current pace. The UK's chief negotiator has said the EU should "shake off any remaining ill will" over the UK's decision to leave the bloc, as the row over post-Brexit border arrangements rumbles on. Cabinet Office minister Lord Frost said the government's unilateral decision to extend a series of "grace periods" in the Northern Ireland Protocol designed to ease post- Brexit trade between Great Britain and Northern Ireland was lawful. "With Boris Johnson as prime minister, our agenda is one of an outward-looking country, confident we can work with others towards common goals," Lord Frost wrote in an article for The Sunday Telegraph. The UK should prepare for a "difficult autumn" due to the threat of new coronavirus variants emerging and a potential surge in other respiratory viruses, a senior health official has warned. Dr Susan Hopkins, Public Health England's strategic response director for COVID-19 , said the population may have less immunity to respiratory viruses such as flu due to the coronavirus pandemic. She told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show that it was "highly unlikely" that a new COVID variant would derail the plan to start easing England's lockdown "for the next three to five weeks". Wendy’s UK menu revealed – and a peak at what the first branch will look like

WENDY'S has revealed four items that will be top of the menu when the first UK branch opens in Reading. The full menu has yet to be announced, but the chain confirmed that it will be bringing its popular Dave's Burger to British shores this year. Dave's Single burger is made with a quarter-pound of fresh beef, American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion all on a toasted bun. Next up on the menu will be fan favourite and signature Wendy's dessert: the Chocolate Frosty. Thick enough to use a spoon and smooth enough to use a straw, this dessert is like a cross between an ice cream and a milkshake.
