A mother who took to social media to find her dead son's jacket has been left 'overwhelmed' by the outpouring of support she's received. Sharon Marie Jones, from Aberystwyth, Wales, who lost her son Ned in a car crash in 2016 when he was five-years-old, had left her local Marks & Spencer with her husband and sons Tomi, 12, and Cai, five, last Sunday when she realised Ned's blue jacket was missing. In a bid to find her son's coat, which her younger son Cai had been wearing, the hairdresser took to Twitter to appeal for help. She was left in awe when the messages of support and empathy finally saw her reunited with the lost jacket. Sharon wrote: 'Today I lost my son't jacket in @marksandspencer Aberystwyth in the menswear section. We returned within five minutes of me realising, but couldn't find it.' Original EastEnders star Alexandra 'Sandy' Ratcliff died aged 70 after overdosing on morphine while suffering from two terminal lung conditions, an inquest heard today. The heartbroken daughter of a depressed woman who took her own life despite asking NHS mental health services for help 'many, many times' has spoken out about the shocking failings that could have seen her mother's death prevented - and reveals she also had to wait a year to access counselling while grieving. Julie Carter-Montacute, 56, from Chew Valley in Somerset drowned in a lake on February 22nd 2018, following a previous attempt on her own life in 2017. In 2010, the small community of specialists who pay attention to US road safety statistics picked up the first signs of a troubling trend: more and more pedestrians were being killed on American roads. That year, 4,302 American pedestrians died, an increase of almost 5% from 2009. The tally has increased almost every year since, with particularly sharp spikes in 2015 and 2016. Last year, 41% more US pedestrians were killed than in 2008. During this same period, overall non-pedestrian road fatalities moved in the opposite direction, decreasing by more than 7%. For drivers, roads are as safe as they have ever been; for people on foot, roads keep getting deadlier. Through the 90s and 00s, the pedestrian death count had declined almost every year. Carole Radziwill was the daughter-in-law of Lee Radizwill, the sister of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Carole married Lee's son Anthony in 1994 after the two worked as producers for ABC News.
