Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino vented his frustration after accusing the media of 'manipulating' his answers in a heated press conference on Friday. For a second successive window, Spurs failed to add to their squad as top four rivals Chelsea and Arsenal both brought in reinforcements. It follows a disappointing run of results in the domestic cups, with Tottenham losing on penalties to Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final before crashing out to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fourth round. "If you twist my answer, like many, many times, and manipulate my answer like you sometimes do... and make me look like 'Oh I am so happy!', that I do not want to sign [players] or add more quality and not win the Carabao Cup or … [Read more...] about Pochettino fumes at media after failing to add to Spurs squad

You probably haven't been able to ignore a 10-year challenge on social media over the past few days and weeks. You might have even done one yourself. The thinking is that people tweet, Facebook or Instagram pictures of themselves now next to snaps dating back a decade. For what exact purpose no one knows. Now it's Stoke City's turn. THERE are some pylon pointers for Partick Thistle’s players should Gary Caldwell’s pre-match instructions not be clear enough once they cross that white line. JUST SCORE. JUST WIN. Those messages are written in striking capital letters on floodlight towers in each corner of Firhill. Football is a simple game but if only it were that easy. As despairing Jags fans trooped out of the ground on Saturday after Morton clinched a late 2-1 win, they cursed a dismal calendar year which has seen the club crash out of the Premiership and become embroiled in a battle to avoid League One. While the city’s two tribes went to war on the south side of the River Clyde, the great Glasgow alternative continued to endure their very own winter of discontent.
