The first victim of the volcano disaster on a New Zealand tourist island has today been named as tour guide Hayden Marshall-Inman. The victim's brother, Mark Inman, confirmed his death and said Mr Marshall-Inman had 'passed away doing the one thing he loved'. The tour guide is one of at least five people killed, but at least 20 others are missing and police say they do not expect to find any more survivors on White Island. Around 50 tourists were believed to be on or around the volcano crater at the time of the powerful eruption at 2.11pm local time on Monday. Fifty people have been confirmed killed in Friday’s terrorist attack on two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. Twenty-nine injured victims remain at Christchurch hospital on Monday, where officials said nine were in critical condition. Five people were confirmed dead and 18 others injured, with many more missing, after a volcano erupted on Monday afternoon while dozens of cruise ship passengers were exploring a small, uninhabited New Zealand island. More than 20 Australians including a Sydney family-of-four and a newlywed couple are listed as missing by the New Zealand Red Cross in the wake of the deadly White Island volcano eruption. Five people have been confirmed dead and dozens were still unaccounted for as of early Tuesday after the volcano exploded shortly after 2pm local time on Monday. An estimated 50 tourists - from New Zealand and overseas - were on or around the crater, located off the coast of the North Island, at the time of the blast.
