France on Thursday said it would tighten controls at the German border to curb the spread of coronavirus, which is spreading faster in the eastern Moselle region than elsewhere in France. "Strengthening of health measures at the Franco-German border in Moselle, from March 1," the Ministry of Solidarity and Health tweeted. From Monday, workers commuting between Germany and Moselle will have to submit to a weekly PCR test before being allowed to cross the border, Health Minister Olivier Veran and European Affairs Minister Clement Beaune said in a statement. A MCDONALD'S mad-man has eaten a burger every other day for over TWO decades. David Geyer, 32, first visited the fast-food restaurant in 1997 and he has been addicted ever since. From trainers and clothes to socks, David has spent £4,200 [€5000] on McDonald's merchandise. The gardener even has a tattoo of a juicy burger and fries on his leg. His home in Bergheim, Germany, features a makeshift McDonald's sign and a menu on his living room wall. David, who has eaten over 4,360 burgers, said: “McDonald's has been a huge part of my life for so many years. “It felt right to get a tattoo last July as the fast-food chain has become a part of my identity. “I never order the same meal over and over again because then it would get boring. “But a Big Tasty Bacon meal with fries is to die for. “It is my favourite.” David has no complaints about the menu but tends to avoid the ‘Filet O fish’ and vegan options. Global human rights watchdog Amnesty International said on Wednesday that Ocean Lotus, a group with ties to the Vietnamese government, has been involved in hacking attacks targeting activists and an NGO. The accusations highlight how authorities could resort to unlawful digital surveillance to keep tabs on activists and government critics . Who was targeted? The suspected attacks took place between 2018 and November 2020. They targeted two prominent Vietnamese human rights defenders, one of whom lives in Germany, and a Vietnamese NGO based in the Philippines, Amnesty said. Blogger and pro-democracy activist Bui Thanh Hieu was targeted with spyware at least four times between February 2018 and December 2019, it revealed.
