Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has dropped a big hint over the club’s rumoured pursuit of Leicester City ’s Wesley Fofana, underlining the need to rejuvenate his back-line with a young defender. The Blues started the first match of their new Premier League campaign with three veterans in their back-line: Thiago Silva (37), Cesar Azpilicueta (32) and new signing Kalidou Koulibaly (31). EVERTON have been dealt a huge injury blow with defender Ben Godfrey sidelined for THREE MONTHS following a horror injury against Chelsea. Godfrey broke his leg just ten minutes into Everton 's 1-0 Premier League defeat. The 24-year-old ended up worse off following a challenge with Kai Havertz . Everton said: "Ben Godfrey underwent successful surgery this morning on the fractured fibula he sustained. "The defender will now begin rehabilitation at Finch Farm under the care of the club's medical team and is expected to be out for around three months."
