The daughter of a reporter slain earlier this week in the northern Mexico border state of Tamaulipas died Friday of wounds suffered in the attack that killed her father. On Wednesday, Antonio de la Cruz became the 12th journalist killed so far this year in Mexico, when a man on a motorcycle fired at him in his car outside his home. His daughter Cinthya de la Cruz Martínez, 23, was with him in the vehicle and was also shot. On Friday, the newspaper De la Cruz worked for, Expreso, reported that the daughter had died of her injuries at a hospital in Ciudad Victoria, where the attack occurred. She had suffered a bullet wound to the head, according to the newspaper. SURVEILLANCE footage may hold a vital clue about Emily Rogers' killer after the missing mom's body was found nearby. Rogers was last seen in April before she was found dead in St Francis, Wisconsin on May 5, the Milwaukee Police Department said. A newly-released report from a medical examiner suggests Rogers was last seen alive by her boyfriend on April 27, according to FOX6. Detectives gathered on Friday to review surveillance video from a business near where Rogers was found. Multiple people are in custody as cops continue to investigate, police said on Thursday. A California toddler was rushed to hospital after a rattlesnake bit her on her own driveway. Three-year-old Alice Germar had been barefoot in the driveway in Butte Creek Canyon as she helped her father take out the trash on June 30, SFGate reported. The rattlesnake then lunged at the toddler and bit her on her foot. Germar was immediately rushed to the Enloe Medical Center to receive treatment, where she was given antivenom. The toddler was then flown to the UC Davis Medical Center to receive further specialized treatment as a precaution. Tia Germar, the toddler's mother, told SFGATE the toddler is doing well and "has already gone through four popsicles in the hospital." Newsweek has contacted Tia Germar for further information.
