A teenager who thought he had partied too much during an interrail trip was struck with a terrifying diagnosis when he returned home. Tom Hunt, then 18, thought he probably needed more sleep and less beer after exploring Europe by train with friends. The student started feeling unwell when they stopped off in Budapest, Hungary, and felt worse by the time they reached Prague, in the Czech Republic. He started suffering from a chest and throat infection and felt exceptionally tired, despite having 16 hours of sleep, reports Manchester Evening News . Fairmont Windsor Park has launched a Legoland package and while kids’ days out and luxury don’t often go hand-in-hand, we thought we would give it a try to see if it’s worth the hype. We can confirm, yes it was. Parents will know that a day out at a theme park needs some psyching up, not only is it mentally taxing but also physically – especially if your little one is too young to ditch the buggy but wants their own independence to march around. Legoland is a wonderland for children of all ages. It was busy, with some rides up to 60 minutes long, meaning they were quickly ruled out as my two-year-old does not have the patience to wait that long so I would definitely advise on getting an upgrade on the tickets to fast track. An amber warning for extreme heat has been issued for parts of England and Wales, as Thames Water says it will announce a hosepipe ban "in the coming weeks". The Met Office has issued the warning for four days from Thursday to Sunday, saying "adverse health effects" are likely to be experienced by some vulnerable people. Thames Water says it is planning to announce a temporary hosepipe ban. It said: "Given the long term forecast of dry weather and another forecast of very hot temperatures coming this week we are planning to announce a temporary use ban in the coming weeks." An NHS worker has said she feels "really lucky" after winning a £1m lottery jackpot just before getting the all-clear from her breast cancer treatment. Maxine Lloyd said she was keeping an eye on her fiance, Wayne Tilbury, who had recently collapsed with a chest infection, at 1.30am when she decided to "have a flutter" on the National Lottery's £30m Mega Cash Showdown Instant Win game. A young woman died from a heart condition after collapsing on a night out with friends after drinking two alcoholic drinks and taking a small amount of cocaine. Amanda Peake, who was in her early thirties, was found unresponsive at the KG Sports Bar in Barnsley after she went to use the toilets on September 18, 2021. The inquest into her sudden death was held yesterday (August 8) and detailed how she was found collapsed by two people in the bar toilets. A bloke in Brazil was rumbled by police in the act of cooking a dog that he plucked from the streets. A woman in Aparecida de Goiânia, a city in the state Goiás, Brazil, heard her dog cry from a neighbour's house on Friday, August 5. When she went to check up on the family pet, she found that the 44-year-old suspect was in the process of cooking the dog in preparation to eat it.
