Berlin — A river on the German-Polish border has become a mass grave. Volunteers and authorities have been busy for days removing tons of dead fish floating on the surface of the Oder River. The cause of the massive die-off, which has affected a stretch of the river more than 300 miles long, remains a mystery, but Sascha Maier, a water policy officer at the BUND environmental organization, told CBS News on Wednesday that "everything points to a manmade catastrophe." Authorities are struggling to find answers. More than 500 firefighters are taking part in the efforts to clean up the mess on the Polish side of the river. Maier said at least 110 tons of dead fish had been removed from the river as of Wednesday. A sample of about 100 of the carcasses were taken for investigation, while the rest was to be burned at a dedicated site in Germany. Jake Paul has joked footage of him missing three pitches during a baseball game last night had been edited. Paul has become a high-profile star in the US after rising to fame following his YouTube career by launching a series of exploits in the boxing ring. He recently travelled to Miami, where he attended a baseball match which saw the Miami Merlins defeat the San Diego Padres 4-3. During the match the YouTube star was invited on to the pitch to face some pitches of his own, to which he quickly found himself on the back foot. The first pitch came flying in and saw Paul wildly swing and miss before letting out a scream of frustration. YouTube star KSI has admitted that his latest exchange with Jake Paul saw the American claim bragging rights between the pair. The Brit, whose real name is JJ Olatunji, was supposed to fight Alex Wassabi on August 27 before his rival suffered a concussion that led him to pull out of their bout with just three weeks' notice. Paul rushed to step in and declare that he would be willing to take the short-notice bout, agreeing to all the terms that KSI publicly stated in the press. Jake Paul has been trolled by Delta Airlines who accused the YouTuber of being "scared" after being contacted by Hasim Rahman Jr. Paul was set to enter the boxing ring for his sixth time as a professional against Rahman Jr at Madison Square Garden, New York last weekend. But the fight was cancelled by Paul who was left frustrated with his rival unable to make their agreed 205lb catchweight limit. Rahman Jr responded by claiming his rival deliberately pulled the plug on the meeting, and has continued to exchange verbal barbs with Paul on social media since the fight was shelved.
