· February 23, 2021 ·

Chrissy Teigen has begged Joe Biden to unfollow her on Twitter . The American model, 34, has been a huge supporter of the new President of the United States after Donald Trump ’s departure from the White House. But taking to the social media site on Tuesday, John Legend’s wife begged Biden to press the unfollow button on her profile because she needs to ‘flourish’ away from him. The bubbly star then joked that her issues were her own, and it had nothing to do with the 78-year-old politician. “I have tweeted a handful of times since my treasured @POTUS following,” the model began. “In order for me to flourish as me, I must ask you to please lord unfollow me. I love you.” “It’s not you it’s me!!!!” she joked. Following her unexpected outburst, fans flocked to question why Chrissy wanted the President to unfollow her – especially due to the fact he only follows a small number of people in the public eye. Amnesty strips Navalny of ‘prisoner of conscience’ status

· January 24, 2021 ·

Amnesty International said on Wednesday that it no longer recognizes jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny as a "prisoner of conscience." The global rights watchdog cited the politician's past "advocacy of hatred" as the reason behind its decision. It, however, did not mention any specific remarks made by him in the past. At the start of his political career a decade ago, Navalny drew criticism for his anti-immigrant statements. "Some of these comments, which Navalny has not publicly denounced, reach the threshold of advocacy of hatred, and this is at odds with Amnesty's definition of a prisoner of conscience," the London-based NGO said. Watch video 00:37 Borrell: 'We have to sanction the people who are directly related with his arrest' Amnesty continues to call for Navalny's release Over the past few years, Navalny has emerged as Russia's leading critic of President Vladimir Putin by publishing investigations into corruption and leading … [Read more...] about Amnesty strips Navalny of ‘prisoner of conscience’ status

Mars Perseverance’s parachute carried secret NASA message

· January 24, 2021 ·

The enormous orange and white parachute deployed by NASA's Perseverance rover to land on Mars contained a secret message, thanks to a puzzle lover on the spacecraft team. Systems engineer Ian Clark used a binary code to spell out "dare mighty things'' — a line from former US President Theodore Roosevelt — in the orange and white strips of the 70-foot (21-meter) parachute. He also included the GPS coordinates for the mission's headquarters at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. This combination of images from video made available by NASA shows steps in the descent of the Mars Perseverance rover as it approaches the surface of the planet Mars rover message encoding was 'super fun' Clark, a crossword hobbyist, came up with the idea two years ago. Engineers wanted an unusual pattern in the nylon fabric to know how the parachute was oriented during descent. Turning it into a secret message was "super fun," he said Tuesday. Only about six people knew … [Read more...] about Mars Perseverance’s parachute carried secret NASA message
