RIO FERDINAND has adopted his ex-Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson's "hairdryer-type" treatment to homeschool his kids. Like millions of parents across the UK, Ferdinand and his wife, Kate, have just come to the end of their second term as amateur teachers. The retired footballer, who played teacher to three kids, Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12, and Tia, nine, while also raising newborn son Cree, admitted he’s a strict disciplinarian who isn’t afraid to be stern if his "students" put a foot out of place during lesson time. He said: “I think I've learned a lot from Sir Alex Ferguson. I've not gone for the soft-touch approach. “It's important to be disciplined with them during the school day, keeping on top of them. “These are my own kids and I love them, but they can be difficult. You have to give them a bit of leeway but it's important to follow the fine line. “We were having dinner and Kate said, 'tell your dad what you told me the other day'. They didn't want to so Kate said, … [Read more...] about Rio Ferdinand uses ex-Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson’s ‘hairdryer-type’ treatment to homeschool kids

But do you know how it all began? Their romance officially began when the Queen was 17 and Philip was 22, but the pair actually met several years earlier. Aged 13, the then Princess Elizabeth joined her father King George VI, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret during a trip to Dartmouth Britannia Royal Naval College, where Philip was training. And it was by pure chance that they ended up meeting - and it was all down to a nasty outbreak of mumps and chickenpox. According to the Queen's former governess Marion Crawford, Philip was one of the few cadets who wasn't taken ill so was invited to meet them. He is said to have suggested they go down to the tennis courts, where he showed off by jumping over the nets. In her book The Little Princesses, Marion claims the Queen was particularly … [Read more...] about Prince Philip won Queen’s affection with ‘unusual skill’ and jokes during first meeting
