Wednesday marks 20 years since missing man Gerald Quigley was last seen - and detectives are still determined to solve the mystery of his disappearance. Two decades have now passed since Gerald Alfred Quigley, who was from Courtfield Road in Walker, Newcastle, was last seen leaving his home at around 5pm on April 3, 1999. The 25-year-old vanished without a trace and nobody has since or heard from him since. He was reported missing by his girlfriend at the time and a missing person investigation was carried out at the time of his disappearance. Gerald, who would now be 45, was born in the south east and known to have links with the London and Surrey areas. Officers say they are keeping an open mind around the circumstances of his disappearance but are still keen to get answers for his family. The grieving relative of a dad killed when his car was hit by a vehicle chased by police doesn't blame anyone for the crash - because "it was his time". Adnan Ashraf Jarral, 35, and one-year-old Usman Adnan Jarral, died in the Sheffield horror crash on Friday night but Adnan's uncle today insisted his nephew's "time was up". The seven occupants of Adnan's VW Touran people carrier included his wife Tahreem and her friend, who both remain in hospital. Tahreem's friend's parents both died, while her friend's three-year-old daughter is said to be in a critical condition in hospital. Adnan's uncle Tariq Mirza described how his Muslim faith helped him deal with the double tragedy.
