That’s definitely the case with the White House, which we’re standing in front of nice and early to get a proper look and some photos before it all gets too busy. But then with the wide road outside closed off by the Secret Service agents, there’s actually plenty of room to take it all in. It’s every bit as impressive as we’d imagined. Of course, a certain former big cheese on the US version of The Apprentice has, if such a thing were possible, made the White House and Washington DC bigger news than ever. The future of QPR striker Conor Washington has been thrown into doubt after he was left out of the squad to face MK Dons. The former Peterborough man appears to have fallen down the pecking order at Loftus Road, with Bright Osayi-Samuel, Aramide Oteh and now Ebere Eze appearing to be above him in Ian Holloway's preferred list of attackers. The Green And White Army have already secured at least second place in Group C, but could still qualify automatically if results go their way. Michael O’Neill’s men host Germany on October 5, before travelling to Oslo four days later to face Norway. Washington has 10 caps for Northern Ireland, scoring three goals. Firefighters from Washington were called to Marlborough Road, Sulgrave, just after 9am, today. A plastic bag containing Christmas decorations caught fire after being left on top of a boom box which had overheated. The family had managed to escape the two-storey property ahead of fire crews arriving.
