And more than it picks up now from, iCloud, Apple Music and Apple Care. Yes, it's Showtime. Apple has once again summoned the media to its Cupertino, California headquarters. Monday's "Showtime" event is expected to be a star-studded sneak peak of a new $9.99 monthly entertainment subscription service, offering series and movies from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Brie Larson. The Operation Varsity Blues college scandal continues to unfurl this week. The admission scam accuses parents, including Oscar nominee Felicity Huffman, of allegedly using bribes and cheating on SAT tests to get their children into top tier universities. The list of universities involved includes Yale, Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA and USC. One of the most high profile parents accused of being involved, Full House's Lori Loughlin, allegedly paid $500,000 to have her daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella designated as "sports recruits" in their applications to USC, even though they had reportedly not rowed before. Lori Loughlin and her husband have since been charged, but their daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, has also become the subject of scrutiny thanks to her profile as a popular YouTuber. The college admissions scandal, also known as “Operation Varsity Blues” (based on the James Van Der Beek football film by the same name) has uncovered the high-profile parents who allegedly bribed their children's way into elite colleges, including Georgetown, Yale and USC. These wealthy parents went one step further than funding new buildings or paying for pricey SAT tutors. Instead, they allegedly Photoshopped photos of their kids playing sports they had never taken part in and faked SAT scores by having other people take the exams for them.
