Vladimir Putin demands schoolchildren learn ‘patriotic values’ from the age of seven

August 2, 2022 by www.mirror.co.uk

Vladimir Putin wants children as young as seven to be taught Russian values as part of a wider programme of "patriotic" education. As of September 5, kids will be forced to sit through hours of "conversations about important things", according to Sergei Novikov, who heads up the Kremlin's social projects wing. The curriculum would be focused on societal values in line with Russia's national security strategy, he told the state-run Tass news agency. Some schools will roll out the discussions as early as this month. Novikov, the presidential directorate for social projects, is working to realise the leader's goals to “strengthen the spiritual and moral foundations of Russian society”. This includes improving “young people’s patriotic education”, according to the Kremlin's website. Anonymous apparently behind doxing of 120K Russian soldiers in Ukraine war

April 3, 2022 by www.newsweek.com

Anonymous, the famed hacker collective, appeared to claim responsibility Sunday for the personal information of 120,000 Russian soldiers allegedly fighting in Ukraine being leaked last month. The information included names, dates of birth, addresses, unit affiliation and passport numbers. "All soldiers participating in the invasion of Ukraine should be subjected to a war crime tribunal," the group tweeted Sunday. This week the Russian military has faced heightened scrutiny over alleged human rights abuses in the Ukrainian town of Bucha. Reports suggested civilians in the town were shot to death with their hands tied behind their backs, and corpses were spotted in yards, cars and streets. The leak results first appeared in the Ukrainian news outlet Pravda on March 1, just days after the invasion of Ukraine began. The outlet did not disclose at the time where the information came from, only noting the "Centre for Defence Strategies acquired this data from reliable sources." … [Read more...] about Anonymous apparently behind doxing of 120K Russian soldiers in Ukraine war

WATCH: Russia Launches Iranian Satellite Into Orbit | The Daily Wire

August 9, 2022 by www.dailywire.com

Russia’s space agency launched an Iranian satellite into orbit on Monday, which will soon offer Tehran access to increased satellite imagery. The satellite, called Khayyam after the medieval philosopher Omar Khayyam, left aboard a Russian Soyuz rocket from Russia’s Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan early Monday morning. Russia’s space agency provided a video of the launch, though media were prohibited from covering the event live. Iran has claimed the satellite will be used for scientific research that includes radiation and environmental monitoring for agricultural purposes, according to Reuters. However, some are concerned that Russia could use the satellite to obtain more detailed information to help with its invasion of Ukraine, a claim Iran’s leaders have denied. Iran said it would be in charge of the satellite “from day one,” and that it would not be used for Russian intelligence, according to an Iranian state-run official IRNA news agency. The launch marks … [Read more...] about WATCH: Russia Launches Iranian Satellite Into Orbit | The Daily Wire
