Jack Keating’s mother Yvonne Connolly has addressed the cruel comments her son has received from trolls since his debut on Love Island ’s Casa Amor . The 23-year-old social media manager, who Yvonne shares with ex-husband Ronan Keating, joined the show last week as one of the bombshells for the girls in Casa Amor. However, as well as a vast majority of fans swooning over him, Jack also faced some cruel comments about his red hair and pale skin. Whole Yvonne did not call out the specific comments, she did address that the reaction to his appearance on the show was far more positive on Instagram than it had been on Twitter. Stagnant student numbers force reduction in media studies at University of Waikato
A quarter of a century worth of academic journals and magazines adorn Screen and Media Studies lecturer Geoff Lealand's office. But now he'll have to start packing up his mementoes - he's one of the staff members affected by Waikato University's proposed cuts. Lealand, who works in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), said the department's cuts were expected to be around 20 per cent, with 21 jobs set to go. Four positions have already been pulled, with 17 more on the chopping block. Prince Charles and Camilla are hiring a Daily Mail deputy editor to run their media operation—despite Meghan Markle and Prince Harry suing the newspaper's publisher three times. The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are hiring Tobyn Andreae, deputy editor of the Daily Mail , as communications secretary to replace Simon Enright, according to The Sunday Times . Meghan won privacy and copyright damages after the brand's Sunday edition, The Mail on Sunday, printed a letter she sent her father, with the three-year saga finally ending at the Court of Appeal in December 2021. Anti- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Twitter -users appear to have mistakenly trolled mental health hospitals located in the area that gives the couple their royal titles, Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Tweets targeted Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, an organisational unit within Britain's National Health Service in the county of Sussex. It has nothing to do with the couple's titles. Some tweets targeted a post about the organization's partnership with mental health texting service Shout, which is backed by Prince William and Kate Middleton . The negative comments tagged Shout's official Twitter account as well as the Sussex Partnership one. One comment on July 4 read: "Anything to do with them two lying scabs from America then it gets blocked now. Corruption attached to all Meghan Markle touches." An official charity set up to continue the legacy of Princess Diana's support for young people received a number of hate comments relating to Prince Harry and Prince William after it marked an awards ceremony hosted on what would have been their mother's 61st birthday. The Diana Awards officially recognize the humanitarian efforts and ingenuity of young people around the world with an official ceremony hosted around the time of the princess' birthday. The charity was set up in the years following her death and since then has had the continued support of the princess' two sons, William and Harry. In 2017 the charity announced their biennial legacy award which was launched by both princes in the year that marked the 20th anniversary of Diana's tragic death in a Paris car crash at the age of 36. Wildlife authorities in Australia have criticized a "reckless" Danish man after online footage showed him riding on a massive saltwater crocodile. Niels Jensen, aged 22, was filmed while traveling through a wildlife park east of Darwin, in North Territory. In the clip , he is seen luring the the huge crocodile closer using a wallaby carcass. After the animal takes the bait, he squats down on its back, turns to the camera—and smiles. His behavior was slammed by the region's Department of Tourism and Culture. Tracy Duldig, acting director of operations, told local media that tourists should be cautious around crocodiles. "Saltwater crocodiles are large and potentially dangerous animals and we encourage everyone to be croc-wise at all times," Duldig said, reported CairnsPost.com.au .
