The spread of the livestream video of yesterday’s mass shooting in Buffalo, New York was “not even comparable” to the reach of the livestream posted by the March 15 terrorist in 2019. Anjum Rahman, who is co-chair of the Christchurch Call advisory network, said the spread of the content related to the Buffalo attack was “certainly better” than the March 15 video which was seen four million times in the hours it took to remove it. There were interactions on Facebook and Twitter alone in the thousands, which was “not even comparable” to the Christchurch attack material viewings. Buffalo and us – New Zealand’s significance in global white supremacy
STUFF Jacinda Ardern speaks ahead of the release of the royal commission of inquiry's report on the March 15, 2019, terror attack. (Video first published December 2020.) Paul Spoonley is a d istinguished professor emeritus at Massey University whose research interests have included extensive study of the far-Right, white supremacism and anti-Semitism. OPINION: The headline from the New York Daily News on May 15 was “Buffalo shooter was radicalized by New Zealand mosque shooter”. The report went on to point to the role of online radical white supremacist (and anti-Semitic) sites in the radicalisation of the shooter – and the particular influence of the Christchurch terrorist. Both aspects are explicitly acknowledged by the Buffalo shooter in an online document. It confirms – yet again – the significance of online platforms and activism in perpetuating an international extremist ecosystem, along with the significance of the Christchurch shootings as an … [Read more...] about Buffalo and us – New Zealand’s significance in global white supremacy
‘He’s Visited Many Communities’: White House Press Secretary Excuses Biden Visiting Buffalo But Not Waukesha | The Daily Wire
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gave a lame, weak answer when she was asked why President Biden will visit Buffalo after the killing of ten people over the weekend by an alleged white supremacist but had not ever visited Waukesha, Wisconsin after the alleged killing of six people by a black motorist. “How come the president is visiting Buffalo after a senseless tragedy there but he couldn’t visit Waukesha after six were killed and 61 injured in an attack on a Christmas parade there?” Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked. “I mean, he’s visited many communities,” Jean-Pierre said. “Buffalo, he was, you know, he’s able to go tomorrow to Buffalo, uh, uh, before the trip; that was something that was important for him to do, but he has visited many other communities. Buffalo‘s not the first community, sadly, that he has to go up to because of a violent attack. That’s not the first one, so he’s been to many others,” Jean-Pierre protested. Tucker Carlson explains “race politics” not behind “crazy” Buffalo shooter
Tucker Carlson says the gunman who shot 10 Black people in Buffalo over the weekend was "crazy" and is being used by Democrats to disparage conservatives. The Fox News personality made the comments during his program Monday, saying the suspected shooter's "manifesto" amounted to deranged ramblings and were not a political statement. Police have described the mass shooting as an act of "racially motivated violent extremism" that left 10 people dead. Before being taken into custody by police, the suspected shooter left behind a trail of racist social media posts. He also reportedly authored a manifesto saying the attack was motivated by the "Great Replacement Theory," a racist conspiracy theory that claims elites are seeking to replace white people with people of color.
