Jose Mourinho and Manchester United fans will be hoping the club spends big when the transfer window opens again in a few weeks. After missing out on the centre back target he was desperately after in the summer window it's widely reported Mourinho will be hoping to be backed this time around. United undoubtedly need to strengthen if they're going to contend for the title next season but there's one thing for certain spending over the odds on a world class centre back isn't going to solve United's problems over night. Mourinho's side are already 12 points adrift of Pep Guardiola's league leaders and in all reality even a dramatic upturn in performances isn't going to see them win the league this season. The windows to the rear of the centre have been replaced to the tune of £47,560. The work will help to massively reduce the centre’s heating bills and overall running costs.The centre had funding in place last year to replace the windows, but their initial planning permission was refused and so the original funding was withdrawn.Carol Ward, the Ockment Centre manager, said: ‘Our old windows were dangerous with thin glass, difficult to open and almost impossible to close.
