India has arrested a 22-year-old climate activist and ally of Greta Thunberg after she promoted a so-called online "toolkit" that supports the country's protesting farmers. Disha Ravi, a leader from the Indian wing of Ms Thunberg's Friday for Future campaign, was arrested at her home in Bangalore on Saturday and taken to New Delhi for questioning after using social media to distribute the web document. Ms Ravi is accused of using the toolkit, an online document with advice on how to raise awareness about and take part in the farmer protests, for sedition against the Indian government. A state judge late Friday finalized the state's new congressional maps early, setting off a scramble among lawmakers and congressional candidates to figure out their districts – or what districts to run in. State Judge Patrick McAllister released the new maps just before the midnight Saturday deadline. It followed a chaotic week in New York politics after Jonathan Cervis, a special master appointed by the court, released a draft map that was less favorable to Democrats than the one drawn by the Democratic-controlled legislature. The state Supreme Court had appointed Cervis after throwing out those maps earlier this year. Cervis made a few changes in the final maps released late Friday, but the new map still only has 15 safe Democratic districts, three safe Republican districts and eight competitive districts. The international trade secretary has said the British government's first focus is to maintain peace in Northern Ireland after the US warned a trade deal with the UK is at risk if Westminster changes the protocol. A mum-of-two has told how she suffered from agonising pain after a spider bite which left her leg swollen and filled with pus. Nonetheless, mum Delyth Hughes believes that her encounter with the False Widow spider, the UK's most venomous species, could have been much worse. The 29-year-old told how her leg became numb and she began experiencing pins and needles before the site around the bite became bruised and swollen, filling with pus, NorthWalesLive reports .
