A man who lost six family members who were trying to escape the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey in a van is speaking out about his loss. Ric Salvidar, 53, says his brother Sammy Salivdar tried in vain to save his parents and four of the children in his family on Sunday. Ric says Sammy successfully crossed a bridge in Houston, but once he got to the other side there was a dip in the roadway and the car sank. Sammy was able to climb out of a window, but the rest of the family did not make it out. 'He was yelling at the kids to climb out of the back of the van; I'm sure they couldn't reach it,' Ric said to the Washington Post. 'He could hear the kids screaming but couldn't push the doors open. Behind-the-scenes plans for Princess Diana ’s funeral have revealed how Prince Philip decided his grandsons would walk behind their mother’s coffin by telling them: “I’ll walk if you walk”. The state funeral on September 6, 20 years ago was meticulously planned by The Queen’s senior aide Sir Malcolm Ross, who described the preparations as “the biggest challenge of my life”. Those involved planning the day also reveal the huge public outpouring of emotion - with the young Princes at the centre of it. The brother-in-law of presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg is pushing back at the narrative that the candidate's husband, Chasten, was shunned by his family after coming out as gay and struggled through poverty. Rhyan Glezman, one of Chasten's two brothers, was quoted in a Washington Post story saying he loved his brother, but, 'I just don't support the gay lifestyle.' His other brother Dustin said the family strain continues, saying, 'We never got over it.'
