Today, five people were pulled from the sea at Clacton Pier, Essex, after getting into difficulty - with one person still missing. Woman falls 26ft to death from moving rollercoaster
A woman was killed when she reportedly fell 26ft from a moving rollercoaster. The victim, 57, is believed to have ‘slipped from her seat’ at the Klotti wildlife and leisure park in Klotten, Germany. An investigation has been launched into whether it was ‘the result of the fault of a third party’. But the exact circumstances remain unclear following the tragedy on Saturday. There is currently no suspicion of criminal conduct, the Koblenz public prosecutors office stressed on Monday, according to local reports. The woman, from St Wendel, died at the scene around 4.30pm. An autopsy will be carried out on her body. Meanwhile, Bild reports experts will examine the rollercoaster and car to look for ‘possible causes of the accident’. At least five people are dead after a series of massive earthquakes struck a region in southern Iran . Footage shows collapsed buildings where an earthquake measuring 6.1 has killed at least five people and injured many more this morning. A major rescue operation took place in the darkness in the southern port city of Bandar-e Lengeh and surrounding villages as teams looking for survivors in the rubble. One video showed a village of buildings that had razed to the ground by the quake and many people are in the streets. "Here is Sayeh Khosh, one of the villages affected by the earthquake in Hormozgan. The pictures show the 100% destruction of this village. One of the organizers of a petition to recall Gavin Newsom accused the California governor of being his "own worst enemy" as the campaign said it had gathered 820,000 signatures. MONSOON rain has flooded the Las Vegas Strip, with videos on social media showing water pouring through the city's iconic casinos. Some of the most famous casinos - Circa Resort, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Casino and the LINQ Hotel - have been flooded as a result of the rampant rain on Friday. A flash flood warning and severe thunderstorm warning were issued for the Las Vegas valley early on Friday morning. Bystanders posted videos on social media, showing the destruction along Las Vegas Boulevard.
