TRAVEL companies are slashing the prices of package holidays again as Brexit uncertainty continues. Now, bargain-loving Brits who are looking for a last-minute getaway can book deals to sunny destinations like Costa Brava for as little as £92pp. This year, some of the most popular beach resorts for Brits have seen a fall in prices compared to last year. According to TravelSupermarket, due to Brexit uncertainty, a more competitive holiday market, and the good weather in the UK last summer, there has been huge discounts on prices this year. Some of the biggest savings can be found in Spain's Costa de la Luz, which has seen average summer holiday packages falling by as much as 38 per cent. Costa Brava, Costa Blanca and Majorca have also seen a drop in prices, with package holidays costing eight per cent, 16 per cent and 15 per cent less respectively. Holiday firms are slashing prices by up to 38 per cent because of Brexit . Many families are putting off booking their summer getaways while others are avoiding trips to Europe altogether, according to TravelSupermarket. Tour giants are now offering big discounts to lure holidaymakers worried about the effects of the UK’s delayed departure from the EU on visas, currency rates, car hire and health cover. Travelsupermaket’s Emma Coulthurst said: “There are some incredible deals at the moment.” While 14-night packages to long-haul destinations this summer remain similar in price to last year, summer holidays to Euro beach destinations are as much as 38 per cent cheaper than last year. Xi Jinping continued his Europe tour in France on Sunday, where he will meet Macron, Merkel and Juncker on Tuesday. That's where the really important discussions will take place, Brussels correspondent Andrea Bonanni explains in La Repubblica: “President Xi can sign as many memoranda and treaties in Rome as he likes. ...
