More info The emergency services were called to Hawthorn Road in Kingstanding at 7.26am today following the crash. A single-decker bus collided with a parked car and van. Nine people were given treatment at the scene by fire service personnel, before the arrival of West Midlands Ambulance. One man was trapped on the bus by his injuries. He had to be extricated from the vehicle by firefighters who used Holmatro cutting equipment to set him free. A driver who took exception to a parking ticket allegedly rammed a warden’s car off the road in New Plymouth after abusing council staff and smashing a window. The drama started at lunchtime on Monday when police were called to New Plymouth District Council’s Civic Centre building after a man allegedly threatened staff. A police spokesperson said the man had driven from the Liardet St site before they arrived, but not before he had smashed a window. A YOUNG girl has been left unable to walk after a motorbike mowed her down in a hit and run as she strolled along a pavement. Emily McGregor, 10, was walking between Logan Way and Morrison Way in Livingston around 7:40pm on Saturday when she was struck by a motorbike. Her heavily pregnant mum Laura got a distressing call that her daughter had been hit by the bike and rushed to the scene with her third child. Emily and her friend had met up to go and play together but within five minutes she was knocked down. Laura said: "There was two boys on motorbikes, one had hit her and she went flying across the fence." She claims "they just drove off" and Emily's friend phoned her while her brother called the Scottish ambulance service, the Daily Record reported.
