Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman ‘in talks’ to join Marvel’s Secret Invasion

Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman are reportedly set to join the cast of Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion series. According to Variety , Game of Thrones star Emilia is in final negotiations to join the series in a role that is being kept tightly under wraps. The news follows the publication's revelation on Monday that Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman is in talks to appear in an unspecified role in the upcoming Marvel series. Secret Invasion is one of many Marvel Studios series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is due for release on Disney Plus and was first announced on Disney Investor Day 2020 in December. The new show is thought to adapt the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name which follows a group of shape-shifting aliens known as Skrulls that have embedded themselves within society for many years by impersonating humans. ‘Give Earth a shot too’: Prince William joins celebrity calls urging COVID spirit in climate fight

Prince William, alongside the celebrity judges of the Earthshot Prize, has called on the world to "harness that spirit of invention" which led to the development of coronavirus vaccines to help tackle the climate crisis. The Duke of Cambridge launched the Earthshot Prize last October in an effort to find ways and technologies that will help "repair the planet". A letter to the editor of The Times - signed by the awards judges which include the duke , Sir David Attenborough, actress Cate Blanchett, singer Shakira and Queen Rania of Jordan - calls on the public to understand and combat the climate crisis. Majority of Brits want FANS to own top football clubs – even if it means they cannot pay as much for players

A majority of Brits believe professional football clubs in England should be owned by their fans, according to a new poll in the wake of the European Super League debacle. An exclusive survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies for MailOnline found 55 per cent of people believe it would be better if teams were owned by their fans, even if that meant clubs having less money to spend on players. Just 18 per cent of people do not think that fan ownership would be better while a quarter (26 per cent) said they did not know. COVID-19: European Commission takes legal action against AstraZeneca over vaccine supply

A legal case has been started by the European Commission against AstraZeneca over its "complete failure" to meet delivery and contractual agreements, Ireland's health minister has said. Speaking to the Irish parliament, Stephen Donnelly said on Thursday: "With regard to AstraZeneca, a legal case has been initiated by the Commission and earlier this week I have joined Ireland as one of the parties to that legal case, specifically around AstraZeneca 's complete failure to meet its delivery and contractual agreements for April, May and June." Under its contract, the Anglo-Swedish pharmaceutical firm is committed to supplying 180 million doses - enough for 90 million people - to the EU in the second quarter of this year.
