Police are urging people not to take part in tombstoning after a man was pulled from the sea unconscious. Tombstoning refers to the trend of jumping into the sea from a high platform such as a cliff, bridge or harbour edge. Officers from Dyfed-Powys were called to the beach opposite St Catherine's Island in Tenby, Wales, at around 6.15pm on Saturday evening. A man had got into difficulty after jumping from a cliff into the water. The Royal National Lifeboat Association (RNLI) were at the scene when police arrived and found a 23-year-old who was unconscious and not breathing. Advertisement He regained consciousness shortly after and was taken to hospital for assessment. Beaches are expected to get busier in the coming weeks as summer approaches and some lockdown restrictions are relaxed. THE LAST movements of missing Brit woman Sarm Heslop could have been missed as a bar's CCTV was not working due to a power failure. Heslop , 41, from Southampton, Hampshire, vanished without a trace on March 7 after she and Ryan Bane, 44, had drinks at the 420 to Center bar in Frank's Bay, St John, the US Virgin Islands. Heslop has been missing since for more than a month as she vanished without a trace - with Bane telling cops she was last seen aboard his boat Siren Song. The mystery continues as no clues have yet been discovered as to her whereabouts or what happened to her on March 7. And now cops have hit another brick wall as they attempt to trawl through the island's CCTV network to try and trace Sarm's movements. St Vincent volcano: Around 16,000 people flee communities after eruption of La Soufriere
About 16,000 people have had to flee their ash-covered communities after a volcano erupted on the Caribbean island of St Vincent. The eruption of La Soufriere on Friday has transformed the island's usual lush towns and villages into a gloomy, grey landscape. It was the 4,000-ft volcano's first major eruption since 1979. Thousands of residents have had to evacuate their homes and seek shelter with as many belongings as they could stuffed into suitcases and backpacks. It comes after a strong sulphur smell was unavoidable on Saturday as ash blanketed large parts of the island.
