A somber mood descended on the British capital at lunchtime on Friday as the news of Prince Philip's death made the rounds. Flags were lowered to half-mast across the UK, and reactions poured in from around the world. Just two months shy of turning 100, Philip died at Windsor Castle just west of London in the early hours of April 9. He had long been suffering from a heart condition and had only been released from hospital three weeks earlier. PUBS are preparing to finally reopen tomorrow for the first time this year. Non-essential shops, hairdressers and theme parks, as well as restaurants with outdoor space, reopen in England on Monday. A legal loophole means even pubs without gardens can fling open their doors to customers. Pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes can utilise any outdoor space available to them as a makeshift drinking and dining area - an initiative first mooted last June. Pub-goers will be able to soak up the sun in beer gardens across the UK, with a ‘mini-heatwave’ expected. It comes as the  single-dose Janssen vaccine is set to be approved in DAYS with the UK's fourth Covid jab expected to help widen the rollout to under-50s. Prince Harry is expected to attend his grandad Prince Philip's funeral - and government guidance suggests it is within lockdown rules for him to fly in from the US. Some had questioned whether an exception would be made for the Duke of Sussex to attend the proceedings, but there is a loophole allowing international guests to keep within England's current restrictions. According to guidance on the government website , those arriving from another country will have to self-isolate for 10 days. This means they will have to stay at home for the duration. Prince Philip's funeral will take place next Saturday and will be televised to mark the duke's "vast contribution and lasting legacy". Members of the public will not be allowed to attend as the proceedings have been scaled down due to the pandemic, but a national minute's silence will be held at 3pm before the funeral begins at St George's Chapel. The proceedings will be kept within the confines of Windsor Castle and the Duke of Edinburgh's body will be carried to the West Steps in a Land Rover, which was specially designed by Philip himself. Prince Harry will be travelling from his home in the United States to attend, although his pregnant wife Meghan has been advised not to travel. MEGHAN Markle has been told NOT to attend Prince Philip's funeral due to her pregnancy, but her husband Prince Harry will be there. The service for the Duke of Edinburgh will take place at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle next Saturday - the same place where Harry and Meghan wed in 2018. Meghan, 39, who is heavily pregnant, made “every effort” to travel but didn’t receive medical clearance from her physician, say sources. Harry is “united in grief” with his family over the death of Prince Philip and is reported to be making immediate plans to fly back to Britain.
