Nearly eight million Brits have turned their living rooms into ballrooms inspired by Strictly Come Dancing , according to new research. A quarter confess that hit TV hits such as Strictly have inspired them to want to learn to dance and over half (52%) wish they were better at dancing. But almost a fifth (18%) think classes are too expensive and 17% say they would be too embarrassed to go, according to the Opinium Research survey for Carpetright. The survey of 2,003 people found that 43% of Brits believe dancing will help them get fitter and over half (51%) think it would help boost their confidence. STRICTLY'S Kelvin Fletcher might be at risk of making his way to the final as he struggles to get to grips with his semi-final dances. The 35-year-old actor, who is most well-known for his role in Emmerdale as Andy Sugden, has been consistently topping the leader board of the BBC1 dance contest - but he now thinks that there's a chance he may just miss out on a place in the final. Speaking on It Takes Two with his dance partner Oti Mabuse, 29, last night, the soap star voiced his concerns about the up and coming show this weekend. He said: "We’ve had a tough day today.
