The Duke of Cambridge's 40th birthday will be celebrated with a £5 coin featuring his portrait, the Royal Mint has announced. The UK's official coin producer has unveiled the coin ahead of Prince William 's milestone birthday on June 21. It is the first time the Duke, who is second in line to the throne, will appear alone on an official UK coin struck by the Royal Mint. The coin’s depiction of Prince William appears to be based on a photo taken at the Queen's Birthday Party in June 2018, at the UK Ambassador's residence in Amman, Jordan. The commemorative piece has been crafted by engraver Thomas T Docherty and shows the Duke in a three-quarter profile gazing up to the top right of the coin, with the number 40 to his left and his royal cypher "W" to his right. Queen Elizabeth II's image, engraved by Jody Clark, will be struck on the other side of the coin. There will also be an inscription on the edge reading: "HRH The Duke of Cambridge." He said lawsuits were already being drawn up to challenge the law. This is why he claimed he had to veto the protections for Hoosier girls. As legislators reconvene this week to override the governor’s veto, my office stands ready to uphold the law and defend any challenges. Although the year is young, it has already brought my first moral dilemma. In early January a friend mentioned that his New Year's resolution was to beat his chronic depression once and for all. Over the years he had tried a medicine chest's worth of antidepressants, but none had really helped in any enduring way, and when the side effects became so unpleasant that he stopped taking them, the withdrawal symptoms (cramps, dizziness, headaches) were torture. Did I know of any research that might help him decide whether a new antidepressant his doctor recommended might finally lift his chronic darkness at noon? The moral dilemma was this: oh, yes, I knew of 20-plus years of research on antidepressants, from the old tricyclics to the newer selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) that target serotonin (Zoloft, Paxil, and the granddaddy of them all, Prozac, as well as their generic descendants) to even newer ones that also target norepinephrine (Effexor, Wellbutrin).
