By Jack Wetherill/Published 1st February 2019 The Walking Dead mid-season nine premiere was scheduled to hit screens in the US on Sunday, February 10.However some fans will be able to get it an entire week early – which is either the best news, or the worst.Those who watch it early will have the insider info straight away, but will then have a longer wait for the next episode.Sadly, it seems only American fans will get the option, as it will be available on AMC Premiere from Sunday, February 3. The Walking Dead fans can experience the zombie apocalypse for themselves thanks to a brand new immersive experience coming to the UK. FOX are launching a brand new interactive exhibition, The Walking Dead: Art Apocalypse, in February so that fans can relive some of their favourite moments and iconic terrifying scenes. Think set recreations, prop replicas (Daryl's motorbike is a highlight) and plenty of immersive experiences to plunge you into the heart of the apocalypse. For example, there'll be a large scale recreation of the Governor's office, where visitors can submerge their head into one of the tanks, amidst the decapitated walkers. Then there will be all of the behind-the-scenes tidbits including 'make under' demonstrations where special effects make-up artists will be on hand to show just how they create the petrifying zombie looks, as well as more blood and gore. The Walking Dead just can’t help itself with its mid-season finales. A whole year after we lost Carl Grimes to a walker, fans now have to contend with the death of another main character at the hands of a different foe altogether. Designed as an entry point to what will surely be the creepiest villains yet, the death scene was perfect and – according to the actor behind the character – completely welcome due to his boredom with the role. His candid views are refreshing. In fairness to the AMC series, which becomes more of a punching bag for TV viewers with each new episode, season nine has regained its footing in a manner many did not expect. Rick Grimes is a thing of the past as The Walking Dead continues in its new form – with time thrown forward a whole six years. The climax to last week’s episode saw the show’s biggest time jump yet as viewers saw a new group of survivors happen upon a ten-year-old Judith Grimes (played by Cailey Fleming), and if anybody thought the moment was merely a flashforward to a future fans will one day glimpse, this outing – titled “Who Are You Now?” - immediately proved otherwise.
