Islamic State has claimed it carried out a co-ordinated bomb and gun assault on the Indonesian capital Jakarta, which police described as a copycat Paris terror attack. At least seven people were killed, a Canadian and an Indonesian as well as five attackers. Twenty other people were wounded. Footage showed two suicide bombers blow themselves up outside the cafe, and a militant was also believed to have been captured on film in a gun battle with police. A Catholic cathedral in Indonesia's South Sulawesi province was rocked by a suicide bombing on Sunday, police said. The blast in the city of Makassar wounded at least 14 people including church workers and worshippers, officials said. Indonesia's chief security minister said there were two people behind the attacks, both of whom died. "A suicide bombing occurred at the cathedral church in Makassar," Mahfud MD told reporters in the capital Jakarta. "The two (bombers) died." The congregation had been celebrating the start of Holy Week inside the church at the time of the explosion, South Sulawesi police spokesman E. Zulpan told Reuters. Priest describes bombing Father Wilhemus Tulak, a priest at the church, told local media that the suspected bombers tried to enter the church grounds on motorbikes, but had been stopped by a security guard.
