A MONSTER mum sobbed today as she was jailed for murdering her son along with her partner and a teen before dumping his body like "fly-tipped rubbish" in a river. Logan Mwangi, five, was found with "severe injuries" likened to falling from a great height or a "high velocity" car crash. He was pulled from Ogmore River close to his home in Bridgend, South Wales, in mis-matched pyjamas in July last year. The youngster had suffered 56 external injuries to his head, face, torso arms and legs from "blunt force trauma". The horrific catalogue of injuries included a fractured shoulder, extensive bleeding to the scalp and back of his head and a significant trauma to the brain. Logan had been so battered even his tongue was bruised but tragically he was still alive for several agonising hours after his liver and bowel were torn. Had his evil killers called for help, the boy would have had an 80 per cent chance of survival. ‘Pure evil’: Boy, 14, murdered five-year-old stepbrother days after moving in with him
A schoolboy described as “pure evil” murdered his five-year-old stepbrother just five days after being allowed to move into his home by social services despite making repeated threats against him. Craig Mulligan – who can be named after a judge lifted an anonymity order – was 13 when he, along with his stepfather John Cole, 40, and mother Angharad Williamson, 31, killed Logan Mwangi and dumped his body in a river near their home in Bridgend, South Wales. Cole and Williamson were jailed for life, while Mulligan was told he would be detained for a minimum of 15 years. The teenager, who was not related by blood to Cole, idolised him and was allowed to move in with the family despite a foster family describing him as “pure evil” and begging social workers to take him away because they were unable to cope. The foster family warned the authorities that Mulligan had issued threats to kill Logan, who was already on the at risk register. He moved into the family home in Sarn, … [Read more...] about ‘Pure evil’: Boy, 14, murdered five-year-old stepbrother days after moving in with him
Unmasked: Logan Mwangi’s ‘pure evil’ teen killer who moved in days before his death
The teenager who helped kill five-year-old Logan Mwangi has finally been unmasked as ‘pure evil’ schoolboy Craig Mulligan. The 14-year-old was found guilty of murdering the defenceless little boy alongside his dad John Cole, 40, and Logan’s mum Angharad Williamson, 31 . Mulligan moved into the family home just five days before Logan’s lifeless body was found dumped in a river with injuries likened to a ‘severe car crash’ in July last year. Prosecutors said the timing of the move and Logan’s tragic death was ‘no coincidence’. The teenager has been described as ‘monster’ who made repeated threats to kill his five-year-old stepbrother and gleefully chanted about his love of harming young children. Previously, Mulligan could not be named due to being under 18, which granted him automatic anonymity unless a judge chose to lift it. Judge Mrs Justice Jefford said it was of ‘significant public interest’ to know why Mulligan had been placed into the family home. … [Read more...] about Unmasked: Logan Mwangi’s ‘pure evil’ teen killer who moved in days before his death
I’m a pilot and here’s how to conquer your fear of flying – and it involves jelly
IF you're scared of flying, there is an easy way to get over it - and it involves jelly. Pilot Tom Bunn explained that by imagining the air being like jelly, it can help reduce the fear . He explained in his book "Soar: The Breakthrough Treatment for Fear of Flying" that the air around a plane is "solid-like gelatin" due to the speed. This is because a plane can be going as fast as 200mph during take off - compared to Brits walking speed of 5mph or a car at 70mph. He uses the example trying to put your hand out of the window of a car driving at speed, or trying to push water in a swimming pool - both very hard. This is essentially what the plane is doing when it takes off. Comedian Chelsea Handler said during an interview on “The View” this week that she would vent her rage against President Donald Trump and his supporters at the airport by visiting the Fox News section of the first-class lounge and verbally assaulting them. “Well, I would walk into the airports, I would go to the first class lounge, check in and then run over to the Fox News section and start assaulting people,” she said, as reported by Newsbusters . “Like, I would go in and be, like, you’re a racist and then I would run out and then I would run back in and go, do you want your daughter to have rights because she won’t, and then I would run out. Putin says it would be ‘disgusting’ to see G7 leaders mimic his topless displays
Vladimir Putin said it would be ‘disgusting’ to see Western leaders going shirtless after they poked fun at his macho image at the G7 summit. The Russian president was asked about jokes made at his expense earlier this week , when Boris Johnson joked: ‘Shall we take our clothes off? We have to show we’re tougher than Putin.’ Canada’s Justin Trudeau then cited the dictator’s topless photos, saying, ‘We’re going to get the bare-chested horseback riding display’, before the PM quipped: ‘We’ve got to show them our pecs.’ Putin hit back at a summit in Tajikistan, telling reporters: ‘I don’t know exactly how far they wanted to get undressed, above or below the waist. But I think, either way, it would be a disgusting sight.’ The 69-year-old, a martial arts black belt and fitness fanatic, taunted his Western counterparts over their ‘lack of machismo’, saying they needed to give up alcohol and do more sports. He went on: ‘Recall Pushkin, who said, “One might be all … [Read more...] about Putin says it would be ‘disgusting’ to see G7 leaders mimic his topless displays
Putin issues chilling threat over Sweden and Finland joining Nato
Vladimir Putin has warned Russia will respond ‘in kind’ if Nato sets up infrastructure in Sweden and Finland. The Russian despot issued the chilling threat after the Nordic countries signed an agreement that has paved the way for them to join the western alliance. Putin was quoted by Russian news agencies as saying he could not rule out that ‘tensions would emerge’ in Moscow’s relations with Helsinki and Stockholm. He said he does not have such problems with Sweden and Finland ‘as it has with Ukraine ’. But he said he would be forced to respond in the mirror if Nato military infrastructure is deployed in these countries. Nato formally invited Finland and Sweden to join today, six weeks after they sparked the Kremlin’s fury by submitting applications. It followed a breakthrough yesterday, when Turkey lifted its veto over their bid to join the alliance after the three nations agreed to protect each other’s security. It marks an embarrassing change in the tides … [Read more...] about Putin issues chilling threat over Sweden and Finland joining Nato
