The Queen has said that having a COVID-19 vaccine "didn't hurt at all" as she encouraged those who are hesitant about getting jabbed to "think about other people rather than themselves". Her Majesty, who never talks about her own private health matters in public, endorsed the importance of the vaccination programme during a video call to those coordinating the operations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Talking about her own experience of having the COVID jab in January, the Queen said: "Once you've had the vaccine you have a feeling of, you know, you're protected, which is I think very important. "As far as I could make out it was quite harmless. It was very quick, and I've had lots of letters from people who have been very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine. And the jab - it didn't hurt at all." Celebs Go Dating love guru had furious ‘cultural appropriation row’ with Joey Essex that wasn’t shown on TV
A SECRET row over "cultural appropriation" erupted on Celebs Go Dating between Joey Essex and matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson, The Sun can reveal. The love guru, 46, accused reality star Joey , 30, of making a "racially insensitive" comment in scenes not shown to viewers. It’s understood the row was sparked by Joey saying the phrase “fo sho” while responding to American Paul - slang meaning ‘for sure’. Tensions escalated when Paul spoke to the Towie star in an attempt to explain why his comment could be seen as offensive. A source said: "It's fair to say that Paul didn't gel with Joey as well as the other contestants - not because of any personal animosity, but because Paul thought Joey wasn't taking the experiment seriously. "At one point Joey misused some slang in front of Paul, who took him aside to … [Read more...] about Celebs Go Dating love guru had furious ‘cultural appropriation row’ with Joey Essex that wasn’t shown on TV

Thousands of teenagers unaware they have £2,000 in a forgotten savings account
Tens of thousands of young people are unaware they could have a small fortune tucked away in a savings account, after the government gifted them vouchers when they were born. Child trust funds (CTFs) were introduced in 2002 - and children born between September 1, 2002 and January 2, 2011, qualified for them. The scheme gave parents and guardians vouchers to invest in their child's future - money they could move at 16 and access at 18. However, 1.8million vouchers were not claimed - and so the tax-man invested it on their behalf. Now, as many of these children turn 18, it's emerged that 200,000 accounts - amounting to £400million - remain unclaimed. On average, these contain £2,000 each, according to figures seen by the Daily Mail . What is a child trust fund? Under the scheme, parents and guardians with kids born between 2002 and 2011 received a voucher to deposit into a CTF account on behalf of their child. Vouchers were worth between £50 and £1,000 depending on … [Read more...] about Thousands of teenagers unaware they have £2,000 in a forgotten savings account
