Tui will offer coronavirus tests for a fraction of standard prices to 'make travel a possibility' once restrictions are lifted on May 17. The UK's largest holiday company said its cheapest package - made up of a lateral flow test and PCR test - will be available for just £20. The tests will be requirements for people returning to or visiting England from green list destinations under the Government's traffic light system for international travel from May 17. Passengers from green list countries - expected to include Malta, Jamaica and Portugal - must get a lateral flow or PCR test no more than 72 hours before flying into the UK. They must also get a PCR test once they have landed. The Government is set to provide free rapid Covid test kits to those travelling abroad so they can avoid the hassle of finding one before they returned, Whitehall sources claimed. But arrivals would still have to pay at least £50 each for the gold-standard PCR test on landing. Polling stations have closed on an election day that could have profound implications for the future of the United Kingdom and the Labour Party. Dubbed Super Thursday, the polls closed at 10pm in the largest test of political opinion outside a general election in nearly 50 years. The future of the Labour Party and the state of the union are two of the main issues at play. Chanelle Hayes has shown off her seven-stone weight loss following her surgery and explained what lessons she has taken away from it. The former Big Brother star, 33, recently underwent Bariatric surgery in a bid to lose weight and has now shared 'Before and After' images of herself at 242lbs prior to her surgery and 141lbs now following her surgery. The two images show Chanelle standing in black underwear with her arms held outwards. While she speaks to DW, her eyes flicker between them as they begin to meander away — first together, then in different directions — in a large, open park in Bonn, Germany. "It just hasn't been tested enough," Susan insists. "A few months [of testing]? That isn't safe." So no, she says. Her kids are not getting vaccinated against COVID-19. And she isn't, either. Her husband had to, and she didn't like that. At a nearby playground, another mother, who does not want to share her name, feels very differently. "I'd vaccinate them. If it were allowed, or doable, then definitely." Her 12-year-old daughter, she says, has had two different kids in her classroom get COVID-19. That led to a two-week quarantine — each time. "That's where you realize it affects them too." At some point in the coming weeks, the European Medicines Agency is expected to … [Read more...] about COVID: How many parents will actually vaccinate their kids?
