INFLUENCERS are known to score hoards of freebies in exchange for a "shout out" on their huge online platforms. But this tactic recently backfired for one blogger who tried to nab a free takeaway meal, but ended up at the police station instead. Four Legs - a pop-up restaurant operating at pub The Compton Arms in Islington is being praised for its extremely savage response to the blogger who reached out to ask for free food. Not only did the unnamed influencer request a meal for themselves in exchange for a plug on Instagram, but they asked for an extra four meals for their "bubble" too. The influencer reached out to the restaurant via DMs and said they'd post to their Instagram and even pop in for a meal once the venue reopens. Sir Chris Hoy is has joined the BBC for their coverage of the inaugural European Championships this month. The European Championships of Athletics, Aquatics, Cycling, Golf, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon have joined together to make one new multi-sport event. Who is Sir Chris Hoy? The 42-year-old Scotsman is a former track cyclist who competed in four summer Olympic Games. He grew up in Murrayfield near Edinburgh and began cycling at the age of six after he was inspired by the 1982 film ET. Before he moved on to track cycling, he rode a BMX bike until the age of 15 and was ranked second in Britain, fifth in Europe and ninth in the World. Hoy has said that he first noticed track cycling during the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh when Scottish sprinter Eddie Alexander won a bronze medal. Drama Murder returned to BBC Two on Thursday night and it was a confusing affair. The format-smashing programme which won a BAFTA award in 2012 for a stand alone episode - returned for the first of a three part series of films, and it had lost none of its quality or Scandi-noir themes. The Third Voice, set in the Borders of Scotland, it centres around a fishing trip with Leo and his brother-in-law Rafe Carey. After unknown events, Rafe's body is found washed up with a number of injuries that can't be explained by drowning in a torrent of a river - in particular a stab wound. Through a series of first person confessionals to camera, viewers discover that Rafe was the man responsible for looking after Leo's daughter Sophie when she died. FRENCH actor Gérard Depardieu has spoken for the first time about being charged with raping and sexual abusing a young actress, saying: "I am innocent." The 72-year-old film star broke his silence on Thursday after Paris prosecutors confirmed he faced trial and prison for the attacks allegedly carried out at his £45million mansion in 2018 . "There is no proof, there is nothing against me and therefore I am very serene," Depardieu said in an interview in Italy’s La Repubblica. "I can only reject all the accusations as clearly as possible, as I’ve already done in front of the investigators." Depardieu noted that the accusations made by the 22-year-old complainant, who cannot be named because of legal reasons, were originally thrown out by examining magistrates following nine months of enquiries.
