YEREVAN. – A Syrian citizen in Armenia on Monday threatened some ministry staff, in capital city Yerevan. At 9:50am on that day, police received a report informing that a person was insulting and cursing at the employees at Government Building No. 3, and he was threatening to break the glass with a stick and pour it on this staff. According to shamshyan.com, police inspectors were dispatched to the scene where a specialist from the Ministry of Health said Syrian citizen Yeghia K.—who now resides in Yerevan—had threatened to cause serious injury to himself and several personnel of the ministry. Syrian refugees remain stranded at Jordanian border

Fleeing civilians have been left without food, water and basic medical care after the collapse of most hospitals in the Deraa district under heavy bombardment by government forces. Some activists have said that at least 10 children died as a result of lack of food and water. An aid campaign managed to deliver aid parcels to some refugees, but the situation remains dire, according to activists in Deraa. Jordan allows injured Syrians enter for treatment
prev next prev next (ANSAmed) - AMMAN, JULY 2 - Injured Syrian civilians in the fighting between government forces and rebels have been allowed to enter Jordan for treatment in al Ramtha hospital in the north, while the army continued to prevent asylum seekers from entering the kingdom, officials said Monday. The first batch of injured Syrians included 12 children who were sent to al Ramtha hospital for urgent treatment after agreement with international organizations was reached whereby cost of the treatment would be covered by a third party. Authorities have also opened a safe passage from town of al Shajara near the northern borders with Deraa to allow injured enter on case by case basis. Jordan said it has set up a field hospital near the borders that includes 20 beds, an operation theater, a dentist clinic, laboratory and xray unit to help treat urgent cases before sending them back to Syria, according to Petra news agency. Turkey provides health services in Afrin
World Bulletin / News Desk Turkish Ministry of Health personnel are working 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Syria's northwestern Afrin area, which was recently cleared of terrorists by Turkey's Operation Olive Branch. Turkey's southern Hatay governorship says it has been coordinating operations in Afrin in order for daily life to resume normally. The governorship has prioritized providing health services, namely by making necessary medical devices available. The hospital in the Afrin district center, community clinics in the towns of Jinderes and Bulbul were made operational. In addition, medical vehicles periodically went to towns and villages in the area. In areas such as Raju, Shaykh al-Hadid, Mabatli, Sharan and Kafr Sahra, health centers are currently being set up.
