Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre gave bombshell evidence to secure Jean-Luc Brunel arrest claiming she was raped

· January 26, 2021 ·

JEFFERY Epstein sex slave Virginia Roberts Giuffre gave prosecutors enough evidence to secure the arrest of the paedo financier's model agent pal, it has emerged. Virginia, now 37, is the key witness in the case against Jean-Luc Brunel, 75, who has been charged by French magistrates with multiple counts of rape. Brunel is alleged to have attacked teenage Virginia repeatedly while a guest on Epstein's Caribbean bolthole Little St James - dubbed Paedo Island. He vehemently deny any wrongdoing, but in December he was remanded in custody in Paris after being charged with multiple rapes of Virginia and a separate case of sexual harassment against an unidentified complainant. His arrest came after dozens of women claimed Brunel abused them while running an underage sex ring with Epstein, who hanged himself in jail in 2019. Almost all of the accusations levelled against Brunel are from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, meaning they fall outside the 20-year limit for prosecuting sex crimes … [Read more...] about Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre gave bombshell evidence to secure Jean-Luc Brunel arrest claiming she was raped

Plot to kill hypnotist linked to murder of Brit family in Alps as ammo found

· February 26, 2021 ·

French police are investigating whether the murders of three members of a British family in the Alps in 2012 were linked to an alleged plot to assassinate a hypnotist. Surrey engineer Saad al-Hilli, 50, was on a family holiday when he and his wife Iqbal, 47, and mother-in-law Suhaila al-Allaf, 74, were shot dead along with French cyclist Sylvain Mollier, 45. The al-Hilli’s daughters Zeena, four, and Zainab, seven, survived the attack near Lake Annecy. Now it has emerged that ammunition which would fit the Luger P06 pistol used in the Alps murders was found at the home of a man arrested over the failed attempt to kill corporate coach and hypnosis expert Marie-Hélène Dini, 55, near Paris. According to police, Ms Dini just missed being shot by a hit squad hired by a professional rival, who allegedly paid more than £60,000 to have her killed. Officers arrested two men armed with a military-issue pistol and silencer who were waiting in a car outside Ms Dini’s home in July last … [Read more...] about Plot to kill hypnotist linked to murder of Brit family in Alps as ammo found

Jean-Claude Carriere, ‘Tin Drum’ screenwriter, dies at 89

· September 2, 2021 ·

French screenwriter and author Jean-Claude Carriere, who wrote some of the most iconic movies of the past half century, has died on Monday at his home in Paris at the age of 89, his daughter told AFP. Having won a first Oscar for best short film in 1963, the prolific writer gained international renown through his collaboration with surrealist Spanish filmmaker Luis Bunuel. Belle de Jour (1967), a provocative work starring Catherine Deneuve as a high-class prostitute, shocked audiences with its sadomasochist scenes. Carriere and Bunuel's work together includes other memorable films, such as The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972) and The Obscure Object of Desire (1977). The screenwriter also co-wrote with German filmmaker Volker Schlöndorff the adaptation of The Tin Drum (1979), based on the novel by Nobel Prize laureate Günter Grass. The film won Cannes Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for best foreign language film. 'The Tin Drum' became the first German … [Read more...] about Jean-Claude Carriere, ‘Tin Drum’ screenwriter, dies at 89

First humans may have reached the Americas and settled in Mexico 15,000 years EARLIER than previously thought, study shows

· July 22, 2020 ·

Archaeologists have rewritten the history books over when humans first arrived in the Americas, shifting the date of the initial migration 15,000 years back in time.  Excavations in a cave in Mexico called Chiquihuite revealed archaeological evidence of human occupation dating back up to 27,000 years.  But computer analysis further pushes this date back, with the study claiming people first lived in the cave around 33,000 years ago.  This contradicts the widely accepted belief that humans did not reach North America until around 16,000 years ago.   Scroll down for video   Archaeologists have rewritten the history books for when humans first arrived in the Americas, shifting the initial migration 15,000 back in time from current estimates Nearly 2,000 stone tools were found in the Mexican cave over a ten-year study period and their age was calculated using radiocarbon analysis Stone tool found below the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) layer in the … [Read more...] about First humans may have reached the Americas and settled in Mexico 15,000 years EARLIER than previously thought, study shows

Myanmar military arrests key Aung San Suu Kyi aide

· May 2, 2021 ·

A key figure in Myanmar's National League for Democracy party (NLD), Win Htein was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning.  It follows the detention earlier this week of deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint after the military seized power on Monday. Who is Win Htein? Win Htein is widely viewed as Suu Kyi's right-hand man. The 79-year-old NLD stalwart is a longtime political prisoner. He has spent lengthy periods in and out for detention for protesting against military rule. He was "arrested from his daughter's house, where he was staying," said Kyi Toe, a press officer for the NLD. Ahead of his arrest, Win Htein had said that the military coup was "not wise" and that its leaders "have taken (the country) in the wrong direction." "Everyone in the country should oppose as much as they can the actions. They are seeking to take us back to zero by destroying our government," he told news and business … [Read more...] about Myanmar military arrests key Aung San Suu Kyi aide
