Summer youth police academy

Three years ago, Borussia Mönchengladbach unveiled their brand-new academy living quarters. Built at a cost of €3.5 million, the "Fohlenstall" (foals' stable) provides accommodation and top-class facilities for up to 24 players from the club's youth academy. The development of talented young footballers is a vital element of Gladbach's long-term strategy — both in terms of quality on the pitch and the generation of transfer revenue off it. But, aside from Mahmoud Dahoud (€12 million to Borussia Dortmund in 2017) and Marc-Andre ter Stegen (€14 million to Barcelona in 2014), there has been room for improvement in recent years when it comes to producing homegrown talent. Two youths have been filmed allegedly attacking and robbing a suspected homeless man outside a Sikh temple. Shocking footage shows the yobs punching the man outside the Shri Guru Ravidass Bhawan temple in Birmingham on Monday at 3.45pm. The video shows the two youths surrounding the man and pushing him up against a high fence. One of the youths wrestles with him, while the other picked up his belongings on the floor and put them in his pocket. The other youth punches the man on the back of the head a few times as the struggle continues. Eventually the man clambers free as children walk by watching the violence unfold. The man is chased across the street by the two youths who continue their attack on the man. The incident was filmed and later posted to Facebook by Sasha Chattu, who asked online users to help identify who was in the video. A police raid on a gym in Liverpool which breached Covid rules by refusing to close  saw officers pin a man to the floor and wield batons at customers and staff who attempted to flee.  Three people were arrested and 52 people were fined when police raided Prophecy Performance Centre in Speke, Merseyside, on Sunday afternoon.  CCTV footage from the scene, shared on social media, shows gym goers trying to escape out the back of the gym before police officers try to stop them from getting away - with one appearing to swing a baton. Fourteen teens have been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed during a gang fight on a busy train on Australia Day.  Emergency services were called to Strathfield train station, Sydney's inner west, on Tuesday after the fight broke out about 3:50pm on a train arriving from Flemington. An 18-year-old man suffered several stab wounds to his thigh and shoulder and was taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. Former Vice President Mike Pence has unveiled plans to launch a new podcast aimed at America’s youth to attract ‘new hearts and minds to the conservative cause’. The podcast will be one of a number of projects Pence will work on in the coming months as part of his newly revealed partnership with the Young America’s foundation (YAF), a conservative youth organization dating back to the 1960s. Pence will join YAF as the group’s first Ronald Reagan presidential scholar, and his podcast will enable him to ‘share the good news of conservatism through one of today's most popular mediums,’ the organization said in a statement.
