The visitors started strongly and took the lead when Thomas Ridley found David Gilbert who calmly spun round the keeper to place the ball into the back of the goal. Keeper Chris Leek then pulled off a couple of good saves before Tim Whiteman made it 2-0 from a short corner.The second half turned out to be a much more even affair, with the Essex side pulling one back, but Magpies had the final say when Leigh Sitch deflected home from another short corner. Chris Shrimpton smashed a superb 126 as Fylingdales hammered Ebberston 2nds by 223 runs to maintain their Division Two promotion push.
