This matters because over 300,000 people were said to be stuck waiting for their home purchases to go through before the end of March. If the extension hadn't happened, then they could have been out of pocket. UK book shop has two extremely rare Harry Potter books worth a combined £107,500

An independent bookstore claims to be the only shop in the the UK offering two extremely rare Harry Potter first editions - but they will set fans back a staggering £107,500. St Mary’s Books in Stamford, Lincolnshire, is selling an original paperback edition and hardback version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The books, which are an "incredibly rare find", are believed to be the only two on sale in the whole of the country - with the only other paperback available in the USA. The first edition paperback, released in 1997, could once be bought for as little as £4.99 but is on sale at the antiquarian bookshop with the hefty price tag of £12,500. And the hardback edition released at the same time but with only 500 copies printed is for sale for a spellbinding £95,000 - working out to £426 per page. Budget 2021: Return of 95% mortgages confirmed – but fears raised of ‘hidden cost’

Chancellor Rishi Sunak delivered hope to millions of house buyers today as he announced a stamp duty holiday extension alongside new 95% mortgages for buyers. The new mortgage guarantee scheme, first confirmed last week, will help raise home ownership numbers from April, the Chancellor said. Sunak confirmed the news in the Commons earlier amid a record low in 95% mortgages. Right now, there are just eight products on the market, with banks pulling the 'risky' loans since the start of the pandemic. But there are already fears that the new scheme - designed primarily to help first-time buyers get onto the ladder - will lead to a surge in demand and rising house prices, putting properties further out of reach for many. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe ‘told to pack’ for return to prison over fresh charges, husband claims

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been told to "pack a bag" for a return to prison after being summoned to court over new charges, according to her husband. The British-Iranian mother has been detained in Iran since 2016 when she was sentenced to five years in jail over allegations of plotting to overthrow the Iranian government - which she denies. Richard Ratcliffe said his wife - who has been out of prison on furlough but under house arrest in Tehran since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic - was told she needed to pack a bag to bring to a new court hearing on Monday as it would end in her being jailed again. Starling Bank swoops in £270m share sale to global investors

Starling Bank will on Monday unveil the biggest fundraising in its seven-year history when it announces that it has secured more than £270m from investors including one of the world's biggest sovereign wealth funds. Sky News has learnt that the digital challenger bank will confirm that its latest share sale will exceed expectations, bringing in significantly more than the anticipated £200m. City sources said on Sunday evening that the fundraising had taken place at a pre-money valuation of £1.1bn, confirming Starling's status as the newest British banking "unicorn". The funding round is being led by Fidelity Management & Research (FMR), one of the world's biggest asset managers.
