This Morning viewers want Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes to return to the ITV show for good after they hosted this week. Ruth, 60, and Eamonn, 61, were dropped from their weekly Friday slot late last year and have been replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, while Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield continue to present Mondays to Thursdays. ITV said the couple would continue to host This Morning on weekdays during the school holidays, and they returned this week during the February half term. Viewers realised how much they'd missed seeing Ruth and Eamonn on their TVs, and took to Twitter to call on This Morning bosses to bring them back permanently. Eamonn Holmes left This Morning viewers in hysterics today as he bluntly called out a caller for "wasting their time". Ruth Langsford and husband Eamonn held a phone-in about tricky names to pronounce after Prime Minister Boris Johnson's struggle during Monday's press conference. Boris Johnson stumbled about six times as he tried to say 'tocilizumab' live on air in the Downing Street briefing. Opening up the phone lines to discuss words that viewers struggled to say, Lorraine told Eamonn and Ruth that she couldn't say the word cinnamon. But Eamonn was left with raised eyebrows when Lorraine pronounced the word perfectly. He exclaimed: "Why are you wasting our time for?!" Line Of Duty writer confirms another series – and hints at Bodyguard sequel
The creator of hit BBC drama Line Of Duty says it is set to continue beyond the sixth series which will air next month. Writer Jed Mercurio also said there was the possibility of Bodyguard coming back for a second series but he had not made his mind up. Millions of fans are awaiting the new series of Line Of Duty with the last series pulling in 9.1 million for the finale. Jed said: “What I do know is that season six proves there is much more ground for us still to cover and then in terms of other projects. I really want to carry on with Line of Duty as I think it still got some ground to cover. “I am in a fortunate position as a writer. To dream of getting to the point where people watch your work in such larger numbers and you get a little bit of name recognition as well. “In terms of other projects, I think that I learned a lot from the success of Bodyguard. Holly Willoughby and Emma Willis both became emotional on Monday's This Morning after watching footage of a newborn baby being resuscitated. The two women, who have three children each, were visibly upset after viewing the clip of Emma's TV show, Emma Willis: Delivering Babies. The dramatic footage saw midwives resuscitating a new born child as panicked parents looked on. Emma was on the edge of seat as she viewed it on her computer at home, and became emotional yet again as she watched it alongside Holly, 40, and Phil, 58.
