Ian Wright has criticised Granit Xhaka’s ‘very strange’ interview after Arsenal ’s defeat to Newcastle United and says the comments would have ‘upset’ his teammates. Arsenal’s top-four hopes are hanging by a thread after the Gunners were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle at St James’ Park . Mikel Arteta’s side now need to beat Everton on the final day of the season and hope Tottenham lose to bottom-placed Norwich City to secure Champions League football for next season. After Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle, Xhaka blasted his teammates and said anyone who ‘isn’t ready for the pressure’ should ‘stay at home and watch’ . He told Sky Sports: ‘If you perform like this, you don’t deserve to play in the Champions League. ‘If you don’t listen to the coach, if you do your own stuff and whatever you think on the pitch, it doesn’t work. ‘People speak always about leaders. We are not playing tennis, we’re playing football, we’re 11 against 11, we need everyone on the pitch. … [Read more...] about Ian Wright slams Granit Xhaka for ‘upsetting’ Arsenal stars with ‘very strange’ post-match interview

DOJ employees push Biden administration to grant leave for federal workers traveling for out-of-state abortions
Washington — A group of Justice Department (DOJ) employees is calling on the Biden administration to require federal agencies to give time off to workers if they or members of their family need to travel out of state to obtain abortion services. The request from the DOJ Gender Equality Network to White House officials and the head of the Office of Personnel Management comes as a growing number of companies are providing travel benefits for employees who live in states where abortion access will be restricted if the Supreme Court overturns its landmark decision in Roe v. Wade, which established the right to an abortion. The group wants the federal government, as the nation's largest employer, to follow suit, arguing it is a "tangible and meaningful form of assistance" it can offer. In their letter , first reported by the New York Times , the Justice Department group asked the Biden administration to "swiftly consider" requiring government agencies to grant leave … [Read more...] about DOJ employees push Biden administration to grant leave for federal workers traveling for out-of-state abortions
Antonio Conte’s unique sex advice could be behind Tottenham’s march to Champions League
Antonio Conte has transformed Tottenham since his arrival - and it might not be just his tactics behind their push for Champions League qualification. The Italian manager has a unique style of play with his 3-4-3 formation a successful formula which has put Spurs in pole position to claim a top-four finish ahead of rivals Arsenal . His advice also stretches beyond the pitch, though. When he was in charge of Inter Milan , Conte revealed he gives his players instructions on how to have sex, with a very specific set of rules in place throughout the season to avoid any potential injuries. "I explain to the players how they should have sex. In the periods of competition, the intercourse should not last long and they should be on the bottom," he told French outlet L'Equipe in 2019. "During spells of matches the players should not have sexual relations that last for long periods. They need to make as little effort as possible. The best position for them is if their partners … [Read more...] about Antonio Conte’s unique sex advice could be behind Tottenham’s march to Champions League

Lucas Moura’s worldie WAG poses in special Tottenham shirt that will send fans wild
Lucas Moura's worldie WAG puts the 'hot' into Tottenham Hotspur by posing in a special shirt that is sure to send fans wild. Spurs winger Moura, 29, is married to Larissa, 30, a Brazilian bombshell with a body to die for. But Tottenham fans will be more interested in what she was wearing rather than what she looks like in her latest Instagram post. The Samba stunner posted a snap of herself in a bespoke Tottenham shirt, showing her support for the north Londoners as the Premier League season comes to a close. The top doesn't look too dissimilar to the club's current third kit. But it contains a few subtle differences. Material has been placed over the name of Tottenham's sponsor 'AIA', while an intricate pattern and a series of beads have been laid over the collar and arms. It's not the first time Moura's better half has worn the shirt, either. She also sported the designer top at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday as Antonio Conte's side defeated Burnley 1-0. … [Read more...] about Lucas Moura’s worldie WAG poses in special Tottenham shirt that will send fans wild
Antonio Conte set for mammoth bonus should Tottenham qualify for the Champions League
Antonio Conte is set to receive a mammoth £2.5million bonus from Daniel Levy if Tottenham qualify for the Champions League . The north Londoners need just a point to claim a place in Europe's most prestigious tournament with Conte having masterminded a second-half season fightback. Spurs flattered to deceive under previous boss Nuno Espirito Santo and their Champions League prospects looked bleak at best when the Portuguese was axed in November, after just four months at the helm. Now though, Tottenham need just a point to secure a spot in the continent's primary competition, for the first time in three seasons, following arch-rivals Arsenal 's dismal collapse. Just last week the Gunners held a four-point lead over Spurs but defeat in the north London derby and a 2-0 loss against Newcastle has seen the old enemy leapfrog them ahead of Sunday's end of season finale - and Tottenham's new-found position is of double benefit to Conte. The Times report the Italian is … [Read more...] about Antonio Conte set for mammoth bonus should Tottenham qualify for the Champions League

Arsenal are set to test the waters with a move for Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan but their lack of Champions League football may have scuppered any potential deal. Mikel Arteta 's side had looked destined to secure a spot in Europe's primary competition but a monumental meltdown has seen arch-rivals Tottenham leapfrog them ahead of Sunday's end of season finale. Two points shy of the old enemy with a vastly inferior goal difference, the Gunners are now left hoping Spurs bottle it in typical fashion to bottom-of-the-table Norwich City . Arsenal look as though they'll need to wait another year to end their wait for Champions League football after losing at Newcastle United on Monday night. After a goalless first half, Ben White's own goal put the Magpies in front before Bruno Guimaraes secured the points for Eddie Howe's side. It means the Gunners' only hope of Champions League football is if they beat Everton on the final day of the season and rivals Tottenham Hotspur lose to bottom-of-the-table Norwich City.
