The storm should start to ramp up in intensity by Thursday, which is expected to be the busiest travel day of the season this year, according to AAA. Folks traveling for the holidays will have lots of company this year: 112.5 million travelers are expected to take to the nation’s runways, roads and rails, AAA said. This "represents a 4.4 percent increase over last year and the most since AAA has been tracking holiday travel," the organization said in a statement. On Thursday, rain is likely from the … [Read more...] about Christmas travel weather forecast: Eastern rainstorm later this week

Arsenal and the League Cup have never quite gone hand in hand. The Gunners have surprisingly only won the competition on two occasions - 1987 and 1993 - which is the same amount of triumphs as Norwich, Birmingham and Wolves. They have, though, lost six finals in their history, including three in the last 11 years in Arsene Wenger's less successful half of his 22-year tenure. But with things looking up at the Emirates these days under Unai Emery, the Gunners could well use the competition as the perfect springboard to help create long-term success in north London. This season's draws have been kind to them too. After seeing off Championship side Brentford at home in the last round , they now welcome a Blackpool side sitting mid-table in League One. Emery is sure to rotate his side for the visit of Terry McPhillips' men, and here's what we spotted as the Gunners got down to pre-game business at London Colney on Tuesday. 1. A chance for Cech to step back into the limelight The 3-1 win … [Read more...] about 5 things we spotted from Arsenal training ahead of Blackpool clash
