X FACTOR fans have been left in tears after hopeful Anthony Russell was given a second chance after revealing how judge Louis Tomlinson had saved him. The Liverpudlian singer was contacted by the One Direction star after appearing on the show last year when he was forced to pull out of the show for personal reasons. He was sent to rehab for four months to get clean and returned to the show this year for a new shot at fame and fortune. Russell, a labourer from Liverpool, performed an emotional rendition of Avicii's Wake Me Up in the second episode of the new series of the ITV programme. It came after he quit last year's series and went to rehab, while being helped by the One Direction star. Tomlinson told the audience, of seeing Russell on TV last year: "I don't think I've seen someone do a first audition with a black eye, you stole my heart straight away. "I really got to know you over the past year, and your family, and I think you're a lovely, lovely guy." ABBEY CLANCY’s TV show Britain’s Next Top Model is no longer sitting pretty – as we can reveal it’s been axed. The reality series was revived on the Lifetime channel in 2016 in a blaze of publicity, with the former Strictly Come Dancing winner signing a big-bucks deal to front it. The programme — branded the bitchiest show on TV — followed 15 catwalk hopefuls trying to launch their careers and join the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne as one of the hottest models in town. But we hear budget constraints and disappointing viewing figures have been blamed for the decision not to recommission the series.
