Tony Pulis confirms that Sean Dyche made contact about Ben Gibson
Tony Pulis has confirmed that Sean Dyche contacted him about Ben Gibson’s availability and insists Middlesbrough must get the best possible deal for the club. Reports that Boro rejected an initial £11m offer for the 25-year-old defender emerged on Thursday evening and, in his pre-match press conference at Rockliffe Park, Pulis said there had been talks between the clubs. The Boro boss is realistic about the club’s ability to retain the services of such an important player now that a Premier League club has made its interest known.
