Controversial anti-terror legislation requiring Russian telecom companies to store users’ communications entered into force on Sunday, leaving providers scrambling to implement the government's demands.The new data storage law forces mobile and internet companies to log the text messages, phone conversations and chat activity of customers for six months and to provide them to security services in the case of a court order. It is part of a package of reforms known as the “Yarovaya laws,” co-authored by conservative United Russia lawmaker Irina Yarovaya. BIG Brother could be forced to find a new house to lock its contestants in as a planning permission dispute threatens to see the current building demolished. The long running Five reality series – and companion, Celebrity Big Brother – is currently filmed in a purpose built house on the lot of Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The show has been filmed there since 2002, but now everyone could be getting evicted due to a planning permission dispute. Show bosses had been hoping to secure the location through to 2019 as part of a deal, but the application has not been successful, according to the Daily Star. The local Hertsmere Council has reportedly rejected the latest application to request permission to house the show at Elstree. The paper reports that two separate plans had been shot down by the council. Organisers of Sweden’s Big Brother reality TV show have thrown out two contestants after the allegedly pressured a female contestant to perform oral sex on them. The alleged attack happened at 3am on Friday, when the two male contestants told the female contestant that they wouldn’t let her leave the room until she had given one of them oral sex.Programme spokesman Dan Panas described the situation as “very rare”, but said they get massive attention when they do happen. The transmission, which goes on 24 hours a day, was immediately cut with the show only resuming when the parties involved had left the room. Social media users and bloggers across the country were quick to condemn the incident, and Channel 5 took action the following afternoon.
