Picture: Ken Mears Archant A new procedure to freeze ovarian tissue of women and girls about to be treated for cancer has been launched by the Royal Free Hospital Trust. Picture: David Douglas Archant A group of Camden Conservatives dropped by the Royal Free Hospital ahead of Christmas to donate some toys for sick children. The former reality TV contestant was a world away from the villa in Majorca, as the 23-year-old handed out presents on behalf of Camp Simcha. The Jewish charity, based in north London organises toy drops to London hospitals during the festive season.Among the children he met was one-year-old Millie, who had been brought into the Royal Free after trapping her finger in the wheel of a bicycle, and nearly cutting it off.Jodie Littlechild, Millie’s mum said: “Millie cried for a couple of minutes when it happened but then started laughing. Artist overjoyed to see his art work on hoardings outside Royal Free Hospital building site

Picture: Linda Grove Archant The painter behind the murals outside the Royal Free Hospital’s Pears Building said he is “loves” that his work has found a new audience. Oliver Yu Chan, who has autism, has been paining for twenty years. Living in Swiss Cottage, his paintings of Hampstead High Street, Kentish Town Underground Station and Belsize Park’s Budgens supermarket in the snow now adorn the building site’s hoardings.His work is usually on display in Oliver’s Village Cafe in Belsize Lane, which his family own. Royal Free Hospital buries time capsule to mark the ‘bottoming out’ of the Pears Building

Items inside included a copy of last week's Ham&High newspaper along with artwork by patients who attend the onsite Royal Free School, and personal notes of hope for the next 100 years.
