The royal baby is officially on the way after the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to hospital in labour. Kensington Palace have released a statement to say she was admitted early this morning in the early stages of labour. She travelled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge. It will be their third child together. A tweet from the Kensington Palace Twitter account stated: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London earlier this morning in the early stages of labour. The royal baby watch has begun as Kate Middleton is due to give birth to her third child any day now. Kensington Palace confirmed April was the month of the due date and the countdown is really on as the hospital where she will give birth is making preparations for their patient. Fans camped outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital hoping she would have the baby on Saturday, the Queen's birthday. Parking restrictions were put in place at the hospital on Monday 9 April and they will expire on 30 April. Kate, 36, is expected to go into labour soon but both George, five, and Charlotte, two, were late.
