The Nottinghamshire company behind the Royal Baby shawls has revealed its unlikely inspiration for a new range of high-end scarves - the St James Street NCP car park. Not famed for being the prettiest of buildings, the building's hexagonal shapes motivated G H Hurt & Son to design their latest rannge. The company, which is based in High Road, Chilwell and has made shawls for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in recent years, will launch its first uni-sex collection for the autumn/winter season on Saturday (September 1. Eagled-eye fashionistas who are familiar with the car park will notice something a little familiar about the £135 scarf's geometric design. "Whenever I go past [the NCP car park] I always look at the colouring and design of the openings and the hexagonal shapes," said head designer Gillian Taylor, "We tend to pass these places often and don't look up and it's a shame because Nottingham has some fantastic buildings."
